got a call earlier today from some bloke claiming to be from a credit investigation bureau, he even knew my name. sounded like he had an asian accent. i just said no, mate, you've got the wrong person and then he dropped the call. i don't mess with credit stuff at all. sounds like a total scam to me!

They rang me twice while I was busy at work. When I tried calling back, the line just wouldn’t connect. Then, a few minutes later, they called again. The bloke speaking had a really thick accent, so I only caught bits of what he said. I did hear something about “jebt” and a “government backed scheme,” but he kept saying I owed over £8,000 in loans and credit cards, which I definitely don’t. I told him I’d just paid off my credit card, and he actually laughed when I mentioned the balance before. He ended things by wishing me a good day and then hung up.

So this woman rang me up earlier, her English wasn’t great. She claimed to be from the citizens advice bureau and wanted to verify who I was. She already knew my name but I told her I wouldn’t confirm anything unless she proved who she really was. Then she gave me a name that sounded off and wouldn’t share any contact details or an address. Next thing, she just hung up on me!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from a financial aid organisation, apparently linked to Citizens Advice. I told them I work there and they accused me of lying. I said I'd hang up and call them back to check, but they insisted I couldn't do that because only they are allowed to call us. I knew that's not right since any such agency should be registered, especially from my time at CAB. They kept calling me a liar, so I told them to end the call. They didn't hang up, so I just muted them. Total scam!

This number rang me but I missed it, which was probably for the best. When I saw the caller ID, it screamed dodgy to me. As usual, I checked it out on here and I’m really grateful for the feedback from others. It’s a bit of a shame my ringtone doesn’t last longer because I’ve got a wicked tune on there, and when I spot it’s some sales call, I just let it keep ringing so I can chill out and enjoy the song instead.

This number rang me and as soon as I picked up, they just cut off after a couple of seconds. When I rang back, an automated voice told me "The number you are trying to reach is currently unreachable." I've experienced this quite a few times now. On another occasion, I called and instead of ringing or going to voicemail, it just stayed on “Calling” and whenever I spoke or made a sound, there was a strange echo. Got a call from this number and they called me by my sister's name, which was weird. I told the guy to take me off their list and stop calling, but he refused. He said something like "I like you, so I’m keeping your number." I kept asking him to remove me, but he just wouldn’t listen. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, he just hung up on me.
