I use an app that blocks all calls from numbers not saved in my contacts. I've seen that when I don't pick up, they keep ringing, so I guess they target men. Now they won’t even be able to leave voicemails. For anyone getting loads of annoying calls, I’d recommend Calls Blacklist from the Play Store. It’s a brilliant app and it doesn’t cost a penny!

Yet another caller from India paid to annoy folks! Claiming they can wipe out my debts (which I haven’t got any of!) thanks to some government loophole. I really wish I’d heard about this back when I DID have debts!! I get they’re earning a living, but how do they not feel bad? What if someone I cared about was drowning in debt and needed a real way out! Ggrrrr so frustrating!

Got a call today with someone wanting to talk to me. When I asked who it was, they asked for me again. Then out of nowhere, they said "if you ain't that person, I won't f### you" and just hung up. Usually I’m not one to take offence but honestly, it made me laugh a bit. Still, I don’t reckon folks should have to deal with calls like this regularly. Can’t really say who they were though, never made it that far!

Got a call on my phone, no idea where they got my digits from. Some bloke with a thick accent who knew my name rang. When I wouldn’t say who I was, he launched into this whole "I’m ringing from the Citizens Advice Bureau" spiel. I just hung up there and then. The CAB never ring you from mobiles and won’t get in touch unless you’ve asked for help - which I definitely hadn’t! Blocked and reported that number straight away!

Got a call from this number, and the person said they were from Citizens Advice, already knowing my full name. They said I had a debt, but when I asked what to, they said it was my credit card (sounded unsure) and then just hung up. The guy said his name was Michael Mercer or something like that, spoke with an Indian accent.

Got a call from this number earlier, someone saying they were from the citizens advice bureau. Was a bit sketchy so I just ended the call straight away. What really freaked me out was that they already knew my name. Ive gone ahead and blocked the number so they don’t ring back, and I’d tell others to do the same just to be safe.

Got a call from a friendly guy named "david" talking with a really strong Indian accent, but the line was awful. He said he was calling from cab and that I don't owe any debt anymore. Sounds great, but the thing is, I ain't got any debt at all.

Had a guy with an Indian or Pakistani accent who knew my name. Claimed he was from some Credit Investigation Department and then chuckled quietly. Told him he ought to sound a bit more serious, and then he just started muttering to himself all weird like. I didn’t say anything and he hung up after about 15 seconds. Could definitely be a risky call.

Phone rang and he already knew my name, said he was from the government and had my details cause of some debts I supposedly have, claimed to be a charity wanting to help. I’ve got no debts at all so just ended the call. Earlier this week, a bloke with a like voice called too, trying to check if my address was right.

the bloke on the phone had a pretty dodgy accent and at first said he was from the citizens advice bureau. then he claimed ive got some unsecured debt, which is not true at all! i told him i’d be reporting the call as a scam to actionfraud and he kinda mumbled “alright alright” before hanging up. i reckon if you get calls like this, say you’ll report them too, seems like it shuts them down quick.

Got a call today from someone saying the government wants to sort out my debt and there’s no charge, claiming it’s some sort of government charity. I told them I wasn’t convinced and asked for something written in the post before I consider anything. They just told me to go away and hung up, sounded very official but suspicious. Not sure what the scam was, but I’d avoid it if I were you.
