They were “selling” a Labrador on Pets4Homes and then asked to chat on WhatsApp. Seemed like a proper long con, they even asked loads about my garden and if I have children. I genuinely thought the dog was real. Put down a £150 deposit. Then, out of nowhere, they just stopped replying. I decided to look up the number and yep, it’s a scam. BE WARNED. PETS4HOMES IS GETTING USED FOR FAKE SALES.WhatsApp2 yearsSomeone messaged me on pets4homes saying they had a male Staffy pup available. I paid a £200 deposit that they promised would be refunded if things didn’t work out. After that, they stopped replying until they asked for an extra £200 to cover vet fees, claiming they were short on money. I set up a time to see the dog, but then they said their son was in hospital and vanished completely.
