Got a text supposedly from EE saying my payment couldn't go through and asking me to update bank info. It arrived the same day the payment was due, so I rang EE just to be sure, even though I was pretty sure it was a scam. First, EE told me it was legit and that the payment would be taken the next working day since the due date was on a weekend. I pushed them on it, still insisted it was real. Then when I mentioned others saying it was a scam, they suddenly backtracked and told me to report it to EE. Absolutely unbelievable. Don't be fooled by these, even if EE themselves seem to say it's genuine...

SCAM ALERT - I got a text saying it was from EE, telling me my payment didn’t go through. It had a link asking me to put in my bank info. Don’t trust it, it’s definitely a con. Stay clear of this number!

Got a message saying it was from EE about a failed payment and asking me to update my bank info. Thing is, I don't even have a payment due right now! Total scammers, absolute muppets!
