I received a text that appeared to be from EE, stating that my payment couldn’t be processed and requesting updated bank details. Coincidentally, the payment was due on the very same day I received this message. Despite having a strong suspicion that it was a scam, I decided to call EE to confirm. To my astonishment, they assured me it was indeed a legitimate communication (!!!???). They informed me that the payment was scheduled to be taken the next working day since the due date fell on a weekend. I pressed them further, but they maintained it was authentic. When I mentioned what I'd heard from others about it possibly being fraudulent, their stance shifted, and they eventually advised me to report it to EE. Absolutely mind-blowing! Be wary, folks... even if EE claims it’s from them, it's best to stay alert!

It’s a con! I received a text purporting to be from EE, stating that there was an issue with my payment. They even included a dodgy link asking for my bank details. Absolutely do NOT click on it! This number is definitely up to no good.
