This number has been blowing up my phone for ages. Didn’t realise it was dodgy until I looked it up. They call me like 3 times daily! I’m definitely gonna tell them to stop calling me. Sometimes I pick up and just put the phone near my speakers, it’s done the trick before.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent, saying she was from some debt agency. I asked her which one cause I don’t owe anything, and she said I didn’t need to know! When I told her to politely buzz off, she went on about how it’s her job to support her family. I said I work hard to look after mine too, not let scammers like her take advantage. She said she didn’t get it and then just hung up. Seriously, steer well clear of these calls!!!

The bloke said his name was Zac and had a weird accent. He said he was from some credit checking place and claimed I owed money. He even used my name. I told him I wasn’t in any debt, but he insisted I was. I asked him to explain what debt he was talking about, then he just cut off the call. I’ve blocked the number now and reported it.

Got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent claiming he was from some debt collection or investigation agency about money I supposedly owed! He even mentioned something about fair trading standards! Haha, yeah right. When I asked for proof of who he was representing, he couldn’t say and then called me a ‘very confused lady’. That’s when I just ended the call!

Just had a rather unsettling phone call from this number around half six this evening. The bloke on the other end claimed to have come across my details and insisted that I was in debt! When I pointed out that it’s against the law for him to ring me since I've opted into the Telephone Preference Service, he just chuckled and ended the call. It feels like a real invasion of privacy and a form of harassment; something really ought to be done about it. Is there any recourse available for situations like this?

Got a call earlier from someone saying they were from Citizens Advice. They knew my name and told me they’d got my info about some unpaid debt. When I asked who owed the money to, they just couldn’t say. I told them I wasn’t comfortable talking money stuff with a stranger, and they shot back with “you don’t have to know who we are.” That’s when I decided to mess about a bit! Kept them on the phone for nearly 10 minutes before I finally ended it. Usually, I let my toddler handle these calls!

Got a call today claiming to be from some debt recovery agency, said it was a private detective company or something. The caller had the heaviest Indian accent I’ve heard so far. I decided to humour them since I was dead bored at work. They knew my name, which was a bit spooky, but after a while the woman just gave up and ended the call abruptly. Bit cheeky if you ask me. I was all set with a little routine - block the number, don’t give any info, and waste their time since they’ve spent so much wasting ours.

Got a call today, they asked for me by my first name. Said something about Manchester Citizens Advice, but I couldn't catch what exactly. I kept trying to find out which company he was with but he seemed confused and I couldn't get him either. In the end, he just gave up and ended the call. These companies really need to hire people who speak proper English if they want to get through to folks.

Got a call earlier from some foreign bloke saying he was "John Edwards" from the fraud team about an unsecured loan I supposedly have. Problem is, I ain’t got any loan at all! I kept asking him which loan he was on about, asked at least three times! Eventually, he got all jittery and started cursing me before just hanging up. Got a call saying I owed money and they could lower it because of some government fund. I asked why the government would cover my debts? He tried to push it further but I cut him off and said no thanks. When he kept probing about my debts, I told him I wasn’t up for chatting. He shot back with, “I’m not interested in talking to you,” so I asked why he bothered ringing in the first place. Then he just hung up. :-))

Somebody called saying they were from Microsoft, telling me my computer had issues and offering to help if I logged on. When I asked them to call me back, they got annoyed and begged me to trust them. The caller sounded foreign. Recently, I blocked another scammer on Facebook who claimed to be an American army officer. He was quite good looking, but a fraud nonetheless. This one said he studied in Manchester but couldn’t even get his tenses right and spoke very poor English. I’ve reported and blocked him too on Facebook.

The bloke who said he was from citizens advice sounded like a Jamaican called Shane. When I questioned him, he got really rude. I asked for his office number and then he just started swearing and hung up. I reported it to citizens advice and they were grateful, taking all my info. They know about this scam so you should definitely report it if you get a call like this.

Somebody rang me up claiming they were from a credit recovery firm (guess that’s better than debt recovery!), saying they had my details for unpaid debts. They launched into some spiel and I just said, “oh really?” then they cut the call. I’ve been in and around Financial Crime for about 15 years and these fraudsters will dial a million numbers hoping to catch someone out. Tell your mates and family not to share any info and just don’t get involved - just slam the phone down!

When you check your call history, simply tap on the entry for Press and Holton. This will bring up a menu where you can select the option to block the number. After you choose to block it, it will prompt you for confirmation. Just hit yes, and voilà, that number is blocked!

Got a call from an Asian lady claiming to be from CAB. When I asked how they got my number and told them to take me off their list, she passed me to her boss. He just repeated the same stuff she said, but I wasn’t having any of it. Then he told me, and I’m not joking, 'why don’t you just piss off, enjoy your day' and then cut me off. Lovely experience!

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be from the citizens advice, asking about any debts I might have. Told him I didn’t owe anything and he just cut off straight away. What really creeped me out was that he knew my name! I’ve blocked the number now. Does anyone know if there’s a way to report this? Proper dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from someone saying they were from credit investigations about some unsecured debt. They ended up calling me stupid and illiterate. When I asked to talk to their manager, they swore at me and just cut off the call. Now they’re definitely on my block list!

Just got a call from this number saying they were from CAB about unpaid debts. I told them I don’t owe anything and asked them where they were calling from. They just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from some bloke with an accent that wasn’t British, claiming he was from some government programme offering to clear my debts. Problem is, I don’t owe anything at all. Plus, he kept going over the same stuff again and again, which made me really wary. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be from CAB. Said he was here to help sort out my debts. Thing is, I don’t owe a penny and actually work for CAB myself, so I saw through it straight away. Told him this and he started pushing me, asking which CAB branch I was with. I fired back asking which area he was calling from, but he kept pressing for my employer's details. Told him that’s not how it works. Then he got proper rude, calling me a liar and moaning about wasting his precious time.

I just got a phone call from 07500 827401. It was a woman with a strange accent who asked for my name, saying she was from Citizens Advice. When I asked her to say her name again and explain the reason for the call, she just hung up. Seemed really dodgy to me. No call back yet either.

Then he asked if I'd rather he come round to my “doorstep” to sort it out and if I knew what that meant?? Next thing, he just ended the call.

Got two calls from the same number today. The person on the line claimed they were from Citizens Advice and said I owed some debts. I told them I had no debts at all, then they just ended the call. Surprisingly, they rang me again about 90 minutes later!

I got a call from some bloke claiming he was with a credit check squad or something like that. I asked him where he got my details from and told him I wasn’t bothered. His reply was all sarcastic, telling me to just put the phone down if I wasn’t into it. I wasn’t having it and called him out for being cheeky, and then he went and told me to "get lost" before slamming the phone down. Honestly, these people are beyond annoying - and so unbelievably rude too!
