I received a call from the same number and decided to ring back, but noticed it started with 075, which seemed rather suspicious. I hung up just before it connected. What should my next steps be? Who's behind these calls and what's the scam? Thanks, Eric.

I’ve just received a text on our work phone that’s clearly some sort of dodgy spam. It read something like: “According to our files, you could be owed £3750 for an accident you experienced. Reply CLAIM to this message to claim your compensation at no cost. To unsubscribe, text STOP.” Now, I’m not foolish enough to respond or send a stop message. That said, we’ve informed the Telephone Preference Service about it.

I received a rather dodgy text on our work phone, clearly some sort of spam or scam. It read something along the lines of: "According to our records, you could be eligible for £3750 due to an accident you experienced. To make your claim at no charge, just reply CLAIM to this message. If you wish to opt out, text STOP." Honestly, I'm not foolish enough to engage or send a 'STOP' - instead, I've promptly reported this to the Telephone Preference Service.

We experienced exactly the same thing too!!!

I've encountered the same old spiel regarding the 3750 claim, and don't expect any text message replies or a prompt withdrawal as I asked. Instead, I find myself here to bring this to attention.

It's merely coming through our work phone, clearly nothing more than a nuisance call or some dodgy scam. "According to our records, you could be eligible for £3750 due to an accident involving you. To claim your free response, simply reply to this message." I’m not foolish enough to engage or text 'STOP' to unsubscribe. Nonetheless, we've reported it to the Telephone Preference Service.

I’ve noticed a flurry of the same advertisements popping up about 3,750 claims. I’m seriously considering sending a text back or opting to unsubscribe. Therefore, I’m sharing this report here.

We're feeling the same way, honestly. These intrusive calls are really quite out of order; it's a serious invasion of one’s personal space. Being on the receiving end of such calls is far from amusing; it's concerning, really. And why is the number only at 3750? Seems rather inadequate to address the issue!
