I received a rather dubious call today, claiming that there was an 'unauthorised transfer' linked to my account, and apparently, the Bank of England was pursuing legal action against me! They even mentioned something about bailiffs being dispatched to cart me off. Quite hilarious, really! Naturally, I played along and pressed 1 to see what would happen. However, after waiting with some rather dreary hold music, all I got was silence. In the end, I decided to hang up.
