A curious incident occurred the other day. The phone rang, and as soon as I answered, the caller hung up. They had introduced themselves as Leah right before abruptly ending the call, which struck me as rather odd. A friend of mine had previously reached out to Leah, so I couldn’t shake off the feeling that this was all a bit dodgy. They went on to inquire about my knowledge of adult toys, asking for recommendations as if looking for some kind of conversation partner on the subject. Just when I thought this had taken a bizarre turn, they concluded with, “It’s Leah Hardy; I think we have the wrong number.” Quite the peculiar exchange, I must say!
