Got a call from +44 7498 847542 telling me there was an attempt to access my bank account and asking me to confirm my device. Honestly, it sounded dodgy to me - definitely a scam, so be careful with that number!

I got a call on my home phone last Thursday, 16th July, around 12.20 in the afternoon. It was a woman with a foreign accent, sounded like she might be Filipino. She was saying something about my washing machine warranty needing to be renewed, offering it for either £9.99 a month or £100 for the full year. I just let her keep talking since I don’t even own a washing machine - I use the shared laundry in my building. When she asked which deal I wanted, I told her I wasn’t interested in either. She just said “okay” and then hung up. Watch out for this, it’s definitely a scam.

They rang my home phone around 9:20am a few times but always hung up just after a couple of rings. Seems like that’s the usual time they try everyone - probably when their kids have just set off for school or something?

After my D&G warranty expired, they started calling me again, trying to get money out of me. About an hour later, they rang back but just did one of those silent calls. Proper annoying!

got a call this morning, they asked straight for me by name. said my washing machine's warranty had expired and offered to renew it. they even guessed the brand right when i asked if they knew which machine it was. this seems pretty clever, and folks should be careful not to share more info. just tell em you already have coverage somewhere else.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Domestic and General. Kept going on about my washing machine warranty being up, but I told him I don’t even have one - I wash clothes by hand on a scrubbing board! Still, he wouldn’t drop it and kept pushing me to renew. What a complete muppet and total scam.
