I got a call from someone saying they were with HMRC, telling me I’d not sorted my taxes and that legal trouble was on the way. I kept the caller on the line as they passed me to another person. This guy spoke with a thick Indian accent and asked for my personal details so he could “sort out” the issue. He said he was from the main HMRC office but couldn’t provide the right address or postcode. After that, he just ended the call.
