I also have an account with Halifax but rather than clicking the link they sent, I logged into my account directly. There was nothing unusual or any payments waiting to be made. Looks like a classic phishing scam to me.

Just got a msg from LLOYDS saying some payment tried to go thru on a device I don’t recognise. They told me to cancel it right away at lloyds.settle-mypayee[###] if I wasn’t the one. Definitely looks like a scam to me!

Received a text claiming it was from Halifax about a payment try from some unknown device. It said if I wasn't the one who made it, I should stop the payment by going to halifax settle-mypayee[###]. Problem is, I don't even have an account with Halifax. Sounds dodgy to me.
