I got a recorded call telling me I supposedly made a £300 purchase with Amazon. The message added if I didn’t make that order, to press 1 to chat with someone from their team. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

I got a call from a bloke with a strange accent who somehow already knew my name. He said he was from the government and was after some money, but I didn’t tell him anything. Felt really dodgy.

Got a call from an Asian guy, not sure who he was. Told him I wasn’t interested in chatting and he sounded a bit annoyed when I hung up.

I got a call from someone saying they were from a debt company, talking about some kind of grant related to covid. When I asked where they got my number from, they just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a guy with an accent claiming to be from some belief agency. I quickly cut him off and told him I was about to report the number. Right after that, he just hung up. Weird thing is, he actually knew my first name! Honestly, be careful - don’t pick up calls from blocked numbers and never share any info with them.

They called again for the second day running. Yesterday, I was upfront with them. Today, I just ignored the call altogether and looked up the number on this site before deciding it wasnt worth my time. It really takes a special kind of person to stoop to doing this sort of nonsense.

this is the 4th time ive had a call supposedly from a credit investigation unit, always ringing from a new phone number though, bit odd if you ask me.
