so this supposedly dvia or something, but nah, its just some bloke in his lounge trying to pull a fast one on you. its obviously a mobile, so dont waste your time, just block the number. im thinking of calling back and messing about with whoever answers, i enjoy a bit of banter like that.

Got a text on my phone saying they’ve recalculated my car tax and I’m supposed to get £48.84 back cause I overpaid. It had a link to some dodgy site [#dvlaroadtaxesregate.co] to claim the refund. Total scam, don’t trust it! If the DVLA were really giving you money back, they’d send a cheque, not ask for your bank info. Avoid that site at all costs!

Got a message claiming it was from the DVLA about me having overpaid my road tax. I had a look on the official DVLA site and it turns out they don’t send texts like that at all. Definitely a scam.

Got a text saying I’d overpaid my vehicle tax and was due a refund from DVLA, but it felt fishy. Seems like a scam to me, so watch out if you get one like that! Definitely didn’t click any links or give info.
