I got a call about reviewing life insurance, which I’d already been contacted about last week. Didn’t want to bother with it then and still don’t. But this time the caller didn’t just give up, they kept pushing. It wasn’t until I said something about it being a scam and fraudulent that they finally stopped.

Just a quick add-on to what I posted like 6 minutes back - seems this number comes from places like [1] [#]haomadi.cn and [2] [#]danhaoma.cn among others (kind of like those annoying “Michael Kors” ads that flood my Yahoo inbox). Definitely looks like some dodgy phishing scam from CHINA. If it was supposed to be an inheritance for me, why on earth didn’t they include my actual name in the message? Probably because they have no clue who I am!

Got a call at like 3 in the morning, just the same nonsense as everyone else is saying. Feels like they’re just picking numbers out of thin air. Has anyone actually tried reporting this to Trading Standards or the Information Commissioner’s Office? It’s mad that they can’t track down where these calls really come from!

Got a text at 3.34am saying I had some kind of unclaimed inheritance linked to my surname. Bit sneaky if they’ve got my name already. I’m on pay as you go, so not falling for that one, not daft!

Just like loads of others, I got a text at 1am and it really woke me up. Proper annoyed that my phone number must’ve been shared with these scammers. Fingers crossed they don’t start flooding us with messages. I’ve gone ahead and blocked and deleted the number straight away.

Got a message in the early hours, about 3:30, saying I've got some kind of inheritance under my last name. I'm registered on the TPS, so they really shouldn't be able to get hold of me. Fingers crossed if they're operating in the UK, the officials track them down and slap a hefty fine on them.

Pretty much what others have said, it’s a total scam. The email was something like a Russian version of gmail, or at least sounded like it. Seems like they’ve grabbed a bunch of phone numbers somehow to send out loads of these messages. I got mine at about 00:38 on 14th July 2018, which matches the timing others mentioned too.
