I recently received what can only be described as a dodgy text message! It claimed to be from Halifax, supposedly updating me about my account. Now, I’ve been around the block enough to know this sort of thing isn’t typical; usually, they communicate through proper emails or their official contact number. They certainly don’t go sending out links, and that’s precisely what this message contained. It's fairly evident to me that this number is a scam. I haven’t had the chance to ring Halifax yet to verify, but I’d put my money on it being a con!
