I just got a dodgy call on my home phone supposedly from the bank, saying there was suspicious activity on my account. As soon as you pick up, some robotic voice kicks in and tries to get you to press numbers on your keypad. Before that, I’d had a call on my mobile from a strange number with someone speaking a language I couldn’t place, maybe from India or Bangladesh. Feels like these two calls are connected and it’s probably some overseas scam call centre trying to trick people.
