I got a text from a different number telling me to dial 07496117168 if I hadn’t authorised a £340 payment to Hsmile on 4/11, apparently to report it to Santander. Honestly, I know better than to click on any links in texts or emails anyway. Plus, this message actually came on 3/11, so it wasn’t exactly a brilliant scam from the start. Either way, I didn’t ring either number because it was obviously dodgy as hell.

Just got a weird text sayin "Take 5 to STOP FRAUD SANTANDER, Did you send £340 to Hsmile on 04/11? If yes, reply Y, if no reply N" from 07496117168. But the call was actually from 07923447298 which is strange. Be careful lads!

Got a message from 07923447298 saying: "TAKE 5 TO STOP FRAUD SANTANDER: Did you authorise a £340 payment to Hsmile on 4/11? Reply ‘Y’ if you did or ‘N’ if you didn’t to 07496117168." This has scam written all over it! I’m gonna block both these numbers straight away.

I received a message at precisely 4:24 AM inquiring if I had authorised a payment of £340 to SANTANDER for hsmile. It asked me to reply with 'Y' for yes or 'N' for no. I haven't replied as I haven't made any such payment to anyone at all.

Got a message from a number I didn't recognise saying 'Dad, I've broken my screen and I'm using a mate's phone to text you' and then it told me to message that number on WhatsApp. Total scam alert - I don't have any children and none of my brothers or sisters would say that.

Got a txt saying "dad, smashed my phone" told me to hit them up on whatsapp instead. Bit weird if you ask me.
