Some bloke rang claiming to be from Halifax and told me I had to change my online banking password. He made it sound proper legit, and creepy bit was he already knew my address and birthday. Pretty sure it was a scam.

This is proper dodgy. A bloke rang me once claiming to be from Halifax Bank’s fraud team. If it was legit, they wouldn’t ring your mobile direct - they send a text first, telling you to call the proper Halifax fraud line, which is a landline, not a mobile. When I told him I’d hang up and ring Halifax fraud department myself, he got all nervous and ended the call straight away. Real nasty business - I blocked the number sharpish.
