Andy Perry and his then partner Denny Smith quoted £25k to build a dormer extension in my 80+ year old parents property, my mother had Alzheimers and dad wanted any extra room for a live in carer or myself to help take care of mum as the disease progressed. At the very start I made it clear to Andy Perry to not mess my parents around as they were very vulnerable. They took the quoted amount and completely destroyed the roof of their property. Denny Smith disappeared within 3 days leaving Andy on site to do his worst. He would bring on other labourers who we found drunk working on the property, one was so drunk whilst I was standing in the kitchen one day came crashing through the ceiling just laughing. Eventually after another £25k was handed over the situation became untenable. Andy Perry hardly showing up on site and telling so many lies and false promises it nearly completely destroyed my mental health as I had to keep a lot of it from my parents. Eventually after many days of him not turning up I found another builder who along with a roof extension expert took a look at the property and said they could do the repairs but I need to employ a structural engineer to advise them on what they needed to do to make the roof/property safe.In total we spent over another £25k putting their property back to its original state so at the end of it they still didnt have the extra room. Andy is the worst kind of human being I have ever had the misfortune to meet. Not only did he do this (there is so much more to this story but it would take a novel to get it down in writing)to our family, due to my social media posting warning people against him I had other families contact me with very similar stories of devasted homes and £1000's lossed to him. Evenutually he had to leave the Worcestershire area as there was so much adverse social media traffic about him but sadly he took his lying, schemeing and shamefull behavour to Portsmouth where he continued to do exactly the same. His name is Andy Nathan Perry, he has a number of alias. He comes over as a very likeable character and will call you mate, buddy, friend right from start. He will lie and cheat,he robs Peter to pay Paul, so any money you give him will go to someone he owes money to or to buy the drugs he loves to snort regularly or the alcohol he consumes much off. If he comes anywhere near you not only stay away, get straight onto the social media FB group in your area and post that he is around to warn other people. There are those people who have had a go at me when I have posted something saying I am just a disgruntled customer, I really wish that was the case, just look at his record. He is giving good builders a very bad name.
