Beware of solar inverter scammers! Some “engineer” came over, pretending to check my MCS certification, but when I wasn't paying attention, a fault suddenly showed up on my inverter. He then tried to push me into buying a brand new inverter, promising to fit it the following day. I rang my original supplier and they said it sounded like a scam. It turned out the so-called engineer had switched off the flow switch deliberately, causing the fault warning. After he left, I had a look myself and fixed the problem just by turning the switch back on.
