Got a call from someone claiming my daughter needed £2700, said she’d lost her phone down the loo and this was her new number. Totally sounded fishy to me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be my son. Apparently, he said he’d just bought a new phone but had accidentally dropped it in the loo. Then he asked me to sort out a payment because his account was supposedly locked, and the bill was nearly £3,000 - £2,995.75 to be exact.
