I got a text from this number saying it was Halifax bank, warning me that a strange device had logged into my account. It even had a link to “check” and confirm my details. Thing is, I’m not even a Halifax customer. To be safe, I visited a branch to make sure nothing shady was going on with my phone number and the bank told me it was a total scam. So seriously, don’t click any links or try logging into your account if you get a message like this!

Within just an hour on 09/10/2020, I got a couple of texts from this number saying I'd linked a new device to my account. They told me to click a link if it wasn’t me. This is definitely a scam. Be careful and don’t click the link at all.

Got a message from this number saying it was Halifax telling me I had connected a new device and to follow a link if I didn't do it. Thing is, I don't even bank with Halifax! Definitely just a dodgy scam.
