I got a call from someone claiming to be with "my provider EE." When I told them I wasn’t actually an EE customer, I could hear them typing my number into their computer. After that, they correctly named my real provider but then started going on about how some UK telecom firms were cooperating. They even rattled off names of companies that don't even do business here in the UK. It all felt pretty dodgy to me.
