Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, saying I’m involved in tax fraud and that it’s headed to the sheriff court unless I pay up. It sounded proper dodgy to me.

Had a call from someone talking really broken English. When I asked them to say it again cause all I caught was "ppi", they just ended the call. Definitely sounds like a ppi scam!

Got a call that sounded like it was from a call centre, saying it was the UK refund department. I told them I wasn’t interested and hung up straight away. Never asked for anyone to ring me like that, and I'm on the TPS list, so they shouldn’t be calling me at all. Seems like a total scam to me.

I wasn’t quite clear on which company was calling, so I asked them to explain what it was regarding. They said it was about my PPI claim and that I’d been granted over £3000. I told them all my PPI claims were already sorted, then they just said alright thanks and hung up. Bit puzzled really - wonder who’s actually gonna get that £3k!
