Someone rang me saying they were from BT and gave the name Michael Silver. They already had my phone number, address and landline details. The caller said there was an issue with my router and sent a PIN to my mobile, which I deleted straight away. When I asked for my customer number, they couldn't provide it and gave me a dodgy BT phone number. Plus, the location they mentioned was really unclear. I rung BT myself and they said the number given was not recognised.
