Got calls from 07872002787 then 07492884289, a lady saying she can’t get through to the private line for free WiFi since it’s been cut off, kept ringing with just a tone. She had a heavy Essex/London accent and kept mentioning something about hoist, studio, and Cabot, which she said are all shut down and empty buildings. Sounded dodgy, using an old mobile setup trying to get me to click on some voicemail links. I just blocked the lot, definitely felt like a scam. Avoid these numbers!

Got a call from an Indian bloke claiming he'd cooked some food from Mumbai for me. Naturally, I said I'd swing by to collect it in a bit. This app is basically a joke. My lad and his cousin had a laugh using it to ring me up. You pick from a bunch of pre-recorded pranks, then listen as if you’re actually chatting with someone. The prerecorded bits have enough pauses to make it sound like a real convo. I soon sussed it was just a prank, or maybe a scam. This time it was mostly just a bit annoying, nothing serious. But I could imagine some folks using it for nastier things. Some of the clips aren’t exactly pleasant, like the ones where they say you damaged their car and legged it.

So at about 9:39pm, I got a call from 07492884897. The person on the other end was asking if I was the one making a lot of noise the night before - apparently they didn’t get any sleep until about 6 in the morning. They mentioned they’d got my number off our landlord. My missus also received a call from the same number but she couldn’t pick up as she was tied up.

Got a call from some bloke accusing me of crashing into his car last week and driving away. When I asked where it supposedly happened, he just repeated that I did it and claimed it was a hit and run. I told him I had no idea what he was chatting about and called him a rude name before hanging up on him.

They kept ringing me back several times! When I finally picked up, this bloke with a strong Indian accent shouted at me, demanding why I’d given his restaurant a bad review - which I haven’t even visited or ordered from. He kept blaming me for damaging his business. I just ended the call and put him on the blocked list!

Some bloke phoned me up sounding all American, said he'd got my parcel and showed my number on it. Then he tried to tell me I have to pay up to get it back. Total scam, watch out!

Got two calls from someone with an Indian accent. The first time they told me I supposedly crashed into their car and then took off without stopping. The second call was about a bad review I supposedly left on their restaurant’s website, and then they claimed to have my credit card details. Very weird and annoying!
