This number, 07402 569860, sent me a message claiming that a new payee was added to my Halifax mobile banking account, which I don’t even have. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

Got a text from this number saying something about HALIFAX - apparently a new payee was set up on my mobile banking today. It told me if I didn’t know about it I should check out some link to cancel it. Bit fishy if you ask me!

Got a text from this number saying something like, "Halifax: A new payee was added through mobile banking, if you don’t know about it please check:" and it had a clickable link to 'my-payees[###]' starting with a '[#]'. I didn’t click on the link but rang the number from my landline instead. The reply was “This number can’t take your call, please try again later.” I don’t even use Halifax or mobile banking, and nothing new has been added to my own accounts.
