Stay well clear of a certain ‘Bella’ chihuahua listing on Pets4Homes right now - definitely a SCAM! Have flagged it up but it’s still there. The seller goes by Christopher R from Uckfield but reckon they use loads of different names and posts, all tied to the same phone number. They tried to get me to hand over £190 - same trick used by others. Good job I did some digging first. Never send a deposit or any money outside the site, no matter what excuse they give. Remember, the buyer covers fees, not the seller, and paying a small fee for security is totally worth it.

SCAM ALERT!!! Just got a call from this awful individual, had some pathetic sob story and was really pushing me for money. Thank god I decided to look them up first and found loads of reviews like these all over the internet. Definitely stay well clear!!!!!

Got tricked on a dog site. They went on about having cancer and a son who’d passed away. Then they kept asking loads of personal stuff about me.

Really pleased we looked into this person before parting with any cash! We were told we were adopting a cockapoo named Jack, with a sad story about cancer and her son passing away added in. She said Pets4Homes was blocking her messages, so we went back and forth by email until she asked for a £190 deposit (email shown under the name Sienna Patricia). Honestly, some folks are just dreadful. Pets4Home have now blocked her account as well.

I got in touch with someone on Pets4Homes about adopting an 8 month old Westie. At first everything seemed fine and legit. Then she asked for a deposit but gave all sorts of excuses about why she couldn’t use the secure payment on Pets4Homes. I handed over £190 for the deposit. The very next day she wanted another £120 for some kind of paperwork transfer before I could pick up the dog, which made me feel a bit iffy. She said she had cancer and that’s why she needed to find the dog a new home. Seemed fishy to me.

Cheers to everyone who left a comment already. I nearly got caught out by this trick too. The dog’s name was Poppy, and the woman said she was Elizabeth Tcham. Honestly, it sounded so legit!

This number seems dodgy, probably part of one of those pet scams. The person behind it is a total c_nt.

I fell for one of those scams after seeing a pet ad on Pets4Homes. I paid the deposit and ended up with no dog at all. Totally dodgy!

Just had a close call with some nasty scammers. What vile people!

Saw a listing on pets4homes for a 6-month-old cockerpoo named Bailey. Got a message outside the site with an email to contact them, and before I knew it, they were asking for a £150 deposit. I looked into it properly and quickly figured it was all a con. The lady went by Barbara Jewitt, spinning some sad tale about battling cancer - classic scammer move, clearly trying to pull a fast one.

If only I came across this earlier! I got tricked out of my cash. Like mentioned, I spotted a listing on pets4homes for a poodle named Charlie going for £300. Shortly after sending a £180 deposit privately, they blocked me on the platform. Then they asked for an additional £100 to cover the microchip transfer. Really hope nobody else ends up caught in this con like we did.

Just like others have said before, it's a total SCAM! Seriously, don’t respond to those dog sale ads, it’s all dodgy.

I saw this advert about a dog for adoption, said it was £300 which seemed quite reasonable and the ad itself looked proper convincing. But then petsathome actually took it down and said it was a scam. Honestly, steer well clear of it! Totally dodgy!

Funny thing, this number tried to sell me a tiny poodle named Charlie, but it was clearly a scam. When I asked if I could pay a deposit through the official secure payment site, the person got really annoyed. I looked up the number afterwards and found this page - reading the other comments stopped me from losing nearly £200. Really appreciate it, cheers!

This number was connected to someone trying to sell a dog, asking me to pay a deposit first. After that, they kept coming up with different reasons for more money, like fees for changing the dog’s ownership, vet checks, and insurance. I don’t want others to get scammed like we almost did - luckily it wasn’t a big sum. The moment I refused to pay any more, they just kept demanding payments for the things I mentioned. Then they promised a refund, but when I agreed to that, they went silent and never got back to me.
