Today I got a call on my phone saying VAUXHALL need to tell me about a recall on my car, with the reg RF13HLV. They said to ring up my local VAUXHALL dealer to find out more and book a free repair. This came just a few days after I got a proper MOT reminder for the same car. I noticed some other people on here posted about similar messages, so I’m not sure if it’s legit or not. A little while back, I did have an airbag recall sorted on this vehicle. So yeah, no idea if this one’s real, sorry.

This is the DVLA contacting me. I had signed up for MOT alerts before. When I sold my previous car I unsubscribed and stopped getting messages. Now with my new car I signed up again. I also got a message from that number about a recall for my Ford. Called Ford and turns out there is a recall pending, so ive got it all sorted.

Honestly, this isn’t some kind of scam. It’s just an MOT reminder service that whoever owns the car with the registration number has signed up for but never told them they sold it or don’t own the car anymore. This is definitely from the DVLA. I just got an MOT reminder text about a car I’ve never owned. Of course, I searched the number here and saw mixed feedback. Got a security code message from the same number, and in the reminders section, it showed my car and that other car I don’t own. Seems like someone accidentally entered my number for their vehicle.
