Got a call claiming to be from Amazon about a recent iPhone order supposedly made through my account just 30 minutes earlier. The caller asked if I wanted to cancel it - pretty clear it was a scam. The bloke, calling himself ‘Jack’ and speaking with an Indian accent, didn’t expect me to mention I have the Amazon app and can handle things myself. That seemed to throw him off. When he insisted I hadn’t placed the order, I asked why he thought that. He quickly said “Alright ma’am, I’m ending the call,” and hung up.
