I found the conversation rather dull and unengaging. The chap claimed he was representing a rival firm of some kind and attempted to enroll me in a service I had no desire for. Quite the nuisance, if you ask me!

I received a phone call from this number, where a woman asserted that since I’d supposedly participated in a survey about competitions, I was in line for their £10,000 prize draw. Truth is, I hadn’t taken any survey, though I do occasionally enter competitions in magazines. For the next ten minutes, she just rattled on about their supposedly vast array of big prizes and how the entry fee was merely £4 a week. Honestly, it was like she was on autopilot, intent on listing every prize they had on offer. Then, she suddenly switched it up, claiming they would collect the fee on a monthly basis, and she was adamant that I should just read out my card number right then and there! I mean, come on! She hadn’t even bothered to ask if I wanted to sign up-she just kept blathering on, possibly aiming to mesmerise me with prize talk. I told her flat out that I wouldn't share my card information over the phone. She insisted it was secure and even suggested she would stop the recording so no one else could listen in! Clearly, I informed her that I do not divulge those kinds of details over the phone and promptly hung up. I genuinely believe this is nothing more than a ruse to fish for card details.
