4 yearsI found the conversation rather dull and unengaging. The chap claimed he was representing a rival firm of some kind and attempted to enroll me in a service I had no desire for. Quite the nuisance, if you ask me!4 yearsI got a call from this number and the woman on the line said I’d won a spot in their £10,000 prize draw because I’d apparently filled in some competition survey. Thing is, I’ve never done any such survey, although I do enter a few magazine competitions from time to time. She went on and on for around ten minutes, nonstop, about how their company runs loads of big prize draws and that the cost was just £4 a week. She rattled off all the prizes without stopping. Then suddenly, she says they charge the fee monthly and that she’s turning off the recording, asking me to read out the long number on the front of my card. I was stunned - she hadn’t even asked if I wanted to join, just tried to overwhelm me with info about prizes. I flat out refused to give my card details over the phone, but she kept insisting it was safe because the recording was being switched off. Obviously, I just hung up.
