Then out of the blue, they wanted my full bank account number on the phone - which is totally not how you verify stuff. I didn’t bother with them. After I clocked it was a con, they kept ringing non-stop, pushing hard for my bank details. When that call came, they had the nerve to ask for my full bank card number!
