Got a call from some bloke who never gave his name, asking about loft insulation and some new government regulations saying it needs upgrading. He wanted to know if we'd put in new insulation or converted the loft in the past couple of years. Apparently, someone would ring us back in about 30 mins to set up a free inspection.

Was in the middle of a really important meeting when this unknown number rang, totally threw me off. Had to pause and say sorry to everyone, and just as I answered the call, they hung up straight away. Proper annoying!

At first, I wondered if the person hadn’t hung up properly, but nothing was left on my voicemail. I eventually called my mobile from the landline and, after a while, I got the number from 1471. The line still had that annoying interference though. It could just be a coincidence that the buzzing happened.

He dodged the question completely, wouldn’t say a word. I called him out as a scammer straight away and ended the call. There was this awkward pause after I picked up, and I could hear clicking noises like it was routed through some autodialling system.
