I’ve been getting loads of calls from Verisure about setting up a security alarm - they keep saying it’s a follow-up but it’s just nonstop spam. Over the past week, they’ve buzzed me on loads of different numbers, more than ten times actually. Some of the numbers I saw were 07488 803445, 07488 803468, and a few others that all started the same. Definitely feels dodgy to me.

I've been receiving persistent calls from Verisure security, supposedly checking in regarding a security alarm installation, and I've come to the conclusion that this is nothing short of a fraudulent operation. It’s been relentless, with over ten calls coming from different numbers, and it really feels like they’re spamming me. Not sure who they were, thought it might be Verisure at first before I checked the number here. They kept ringing us after we’d made an enquiry to that company. Weird thing is, we also got loads of calls coming from the same main number, but ending in a 6 or 7 instead of the 5. Quite annoying really.

I’ve received two calls from this number today, and I can't quite fathom it. When I pick up, there’s silence on the other end, just a faint murmur reminiscent of a call centre vibe, and then they disconnect! What’s the point of ringing me if you’ve got nothing to say, particularly at half seven on a Saturday night when I'm settled in for my beloved Strictly Come Dancing?! Honestly, it’s infuriating! Either you identify yourselves or kindly refrain from ringing me again!

I received a rather dubious call from a firm known as Verisure Alarms. They had the audacity to advertise that residents of my town might qualify for a "complimentary camera doorbell." They proceeded to grill me with questions about security concerns and recent burglaries in the area. Then, they had the cheek to claim they'd send a voucher code for 50% off, supposedly to assist in securing one for my home. Honestly, it all reeks of a scam-pure false advertising, which contravenes the Sales of Goods Act here in the UK. Initially, they don’t disclose that you’d actually have to pay anything; instead, they artfully frame it as almost being free, a supposed gesture to grant us some peace of mind. It's a rather pathetic ploy, really. Their true aim is to extract cash, thus making the offer far from complimentary and incredibly misleading. This operation appears to be quite dodgy, possibly involving a misappropriated list of UK phone numbers and email addresses. Utter scoundrels, if you ask me.

Got a call at 6:50 in the morning, didn’t pick up, then they rang me back like 2 minutes later and I just ignored it again. After that, they called yet again. Seems like spam to me, definitely don’t bother answering - who calls at such ridiculous hours anyway?

Got a call from a well-spoken bloke just before 8pm about smart alarms. I had a quick look for these alarms and all I found were Yale’s self-install brand names. Didn’t appreciate being told where to put his alarms, so I cut the call off - he was going on a bit after that.

It seems Verisure alarms are up to no good in the UK, engaging in what appears to be an unlawful spamming venture, possibly utilising compromised lists of UK telephone numbers and email addresses.
