Got an automated message saying there was some fraud linked to my name and that I’d be arrested soon if I didn’t press 1 on my phone. Got a bit anxious and pressed it. When I got through, the person asked why I was calling them, which confused me. I explained the situation, and they said a lawyer would turn up at my place unless I handed over my personal info. I told them the tax office already has all my details and they’d normally contact me by letter or email. They said it was just their procedure, but I still refused. Then, mid-conversation, I suddenly noticed they’d just hung up on me...
