Received a dodgy call today regarding some so-called financial services and debt management nonsense. It appears this number is a clone from ‘Sky Mobile’. The genuine owner of the number is quite upset about the whole situation. Definitely a one to block immediately!

Got a call at half past nine this mornin, answered but the line was all crackly so I ended up hangin up. Then he called back around half eleven - some bloke with an accent said he was from The Financial Advice Bureau. He knew my name which was a bit unsettling. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from the national debt office, but he was definitely foreign. I just messed about with him till he got fed up and ended the call. I’ve kind of accepted I can’t block these muppets, so now I just enjoy having a laugh with them - makes work a bit more interesting for a few minutes!

They said they were from some government office but it sounded totally fake. I caught them mentioning something about me owing money and getting debt collection notices. I kept telling them over and over to take me off their calling list. I get how this could really scare someone who’s more vulnerable. I didn’t stay on the call long enough to figure out exactly what they wanted, but there’s no way I’d share any personal details with them.

They’ve rung me 3 times now, I ignored the first call & they left some silent voicemail. The second time I picked up, stayed quiet for 15 seconds, then said 'hello' and they just hung up. I tried texting them to quit calling me and it went through as an iMessage, so they must have an iPhone 🙄

I asked them to email me, got a message from [email protected][###][###] The email points to a landline 0161 818 8889 and their website is [#]nationaldebtshelp[###][###] but the company name on site is misspelled as Nationaldebthelp with the s missing. The same number shows on their site. They list company number 770135 but I couldn’t find anything on Companies House. It’s quite detailed but the typo is a giveaway. Feels really dodgy.

Got a call from 07488288237, someone asking about paying off a debt. They claimed to be from Manchester and kept going on about government debt. I asked which government it was, and they said the UK government. Then I asked who the Prime Minister is, and they had no clue. I saved the number as "Debt Scam" - I enjoy messing with these lot. If they ring again, I might even get a whistle out!
