Today I got a WhatsApp message claiming to be from my daughter saying, ‘Hi Mum, this is my new number now, I’ve got a new phone.’ I didn’t reply straight away but rang her to make sure. Then, a day after, the same number sent me another text asking, ‘Could you give me a hand with something?’ Not long after, another message showed up, supposedly from her, requesting money. Obviously, I just ended up deleting the whole conversation.
