I got a text from this number saying it was my Halifax bank, telling me a John Lewis payment didn’t go through and to reply with ‘Y’ if I’d made it. Seems dodgy to me, since I usually get my messages from Halifax without any phone number attached. Watch out folks, could be a scam!

Had a call from someone pretending to be Halifax Fraud Team. They kept pestering me with all sorts of made-up stuff. First, I got texts about suspicious charges, then calls from the number 0800 500 3914 pushing me to send money. It felt pretty legit, but I just cut the call. Stay careful out there.
