The message pretends to be from your bank, claiming your card was used at a specific date and time in a shop - mine mentioned spending £139.95 at Argos. They want you to reply to confirm if you made the purchase by saying Yes or No. This exact message has been reported multiple times already. It’s absolutely a SCAM, so don’t fall for it.

Got a text from my “bank” this afternoon saying there was a charge of £139.95 at Argos around 3pm. It asked me to confirm if it was me by replying yes or no. Foolishly, I said no straight away. When I checked my account later, there was no sign of any transaction today. Feels dodgy, probably a scam. I usually spot these things but managed to get caught out this time. Bank’s shut now, so I’ll call them first thing tomorrow and sort it out. Should’ve been more careful!
