Called and the line just went silent as soon as I answered.

Pretty sure it's a scam. I got a message that said something like 'your parcel from royal mail is ready to be delivered, kindly pay £2.99 by clicking this link'. I never ordered anything through royal mail. Best not to tap on any links at all.
