I got a call from someone called Mike Banks using the number 07555884215. He said he’d drop by in about an hour either with £3000 or some stock of equivalent value. My team couldn’t believe the call, and since I was on holiday, it kind of spoiled the whole thing for me.

It’s really odd that there’s no record of any Michael Banks when you look up official high court sheriffs - they should all be certified and verified. Just do a quick Google search to check the legitimate list. Feels definitely like a con to me.

There was this caller claiming to be Mike Banks, some bailiff bloke, phoning from a number almost like mine but with a 4 at the end. He was threatening to take stuff from my business unless I paid £2.5k. I started questioning him properly, and he just got all pissed off cos he couldn't come up with any decent answers. Total nonsense, definitely a scam.

I rang this number back and some bloke answered who was really rude and said he was a bailiff. When I asked him to say it again, he got even more nasty. I ended up telling the police, and they told me if there's no official letter or anything about debts beforehand, just don’t get involved and report it straight away.

I got a call from someone called Mike Barnes who sounded really pushy and threatening, saying he was a bailiff and could take my stuff away. He kept saying they were on their way. I reported it, and the police have taken it seriously. They told me not to let anyone in if they show up and to call them straight away if the situation gets hostile.

Someone called me claiming to be a bailiff named Mike Banks and even mentioned my old address. They refused to say who they really were but kept insisting they were coming round. I ended up ringing the police, gave them everything, and got a crime reference number. Later, when I looked up the number, it just redirected me to an Asda Mobile voicemail. Very dodgy!

Someone called pretending to be the sheriff and gave the name of the old owner of my house. I told him that the person doesn’t live there anymore, but he insisted he was going to show up anyway. I contacted the police, who treated it seriously and took down all the information. They tried ringing the number but couldn’t get through. They told me to ring 999 if anyone causes trouble at the property.
