Got a message supposedly from Equita but coming from another number first, then got a call from 07485 985224 which just hung up. When I tried ringing back, they wouldn't pick up. Seems like a total scam to me - they claimed I owe £1300, which is rubbish because I don’t owe anything at all.

Got a call from some guy saying I owe £1796 and if I don't pay up today, they’ll be sending a removal crew round tomorrow to break into my place. This bloke was proper pushy and wouldn’t show any proof that he’s legit, even though he kept banging on about this massive debt. He said he was from Equita, all about some council tax I supposedly haven’t paid - bit cheeky asking for money for a council service I don’t even get!

Got a call from someone claiming to be the council about my council tax. They said they were on their way to my flat to take my stuff away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from debt collection, saying they’re coming to seize stuff because of council tax arrears. Total scammer - got really rude and insisted I owed £6,600. Definitely dodgy.

Somebody rang up saying they were from some equity removal squad, but it was clearly a con trying to trick me into handing over cash.
