Got a text from 447485835397 pretending to be HSBC, saying a payment to some Mr Jones was made and I needed to check it by clicking a link. Total scam, nothing to do with my bank. Just ignore and delete straight away!

so weird, i got a couple of texts a day apart saying they were from hsbc about a payment being tried on a device i dont recognise. they said if it wasn’t me, click a link to confirm the transaction. problem is, i dont even have an account with hsbc! then when my partner tried ringing the number from his phone, it just said the number was unreachable. feels dodgy to me.

Got a text claiming to be from Royal Mail saying I’ve got to pay a dispatch fee right away at some dodgy link or else my parcel’s going back to sender. Obviously a total scam!

Got a dodgy text claiming to be from Royal Mail saying I had to pay a ‘dispatch fee’ right away at some weird link, or else my letter would be sent back. Definitely looks like one of those scams to me!

Got a dodgy call on my mobile, definitely not from my bank. They gave me a weird web address like (#][#hs-validate-transaction{###). I tried checking it on my computer and it showed up as a dangerous site. Seriously, don’t even bother going there!
