I got a recorded call on my phone from a number claiming to be HMRC. It said there were suspicious errors in my last tax return and mentioned fake entries might be involved. They told me to press 1 to speak to someone straight away or else they’d start criminal proceedings against me. Pretty clearly a scam, so I just hung up, blocked the number, and reported it to the national fraud centre.
