A few days back, my phone rang and there was a pre-recorded message pretending to be from HMRC. They said something about problems with my tax returns and threatened me with an arrest warrant. Since I knew about this kind of scam already, I just hung up. The same day, I saw a call from a number that looked almost the same but I didn’t pick up. It felt like both calls came from the same place. The earlier one was 07484664779.
