At that point, I asked him how he managed to obtain my contact details and insisted he remove my information from whatever records he had. Then, I simply ended the call.

However, the lack of GDPR compliance - something the NHS usually takes very seriously - set off alarm bells for me. At that point, I was left bewildered about the relevance of the FCA to the NHS, and it all felt rather suspect, so I decided to hang up.
