WHAT A CON! I received a message claiming there was an attempt to transfer funds from my Nationwide account - but I've never even held an account with them! Utterly ridiculous!

Received messages masquerading as Wrexham Council, claiming I was entitled to a refund. Gave the council a bell to verify, and it turns out it’s a scam. Stay vigilant!

Even though I’ve never had an account with Nationwide, I received a message from this number claiming that someone tried to initiate a transfer from my account. How bizarre!
