Got a call from someone pretending to be Royal Mail asking me to pay £2.99 for a parcel delivery. I’d got a very similar one a few weeks back and stupidly clicked the link without thinking since we were waiting for a package. The site looked just like Royal Mail’s legit page, but thankfully I didn’t enter any payment details or go further. After that, I gave my phone a full factory reset and changed all my passwords just to be safe. From now on, I’m gonna block these numbers and just ignore anything like this completely.

Beware of a Royal Mail scam, it’s proper dodgy. I’ve noticed it usually kicks off right after you’ve checked a parcel using their track and trace service. They then ring up asking for more money to actually deliver your item. It’s really risky and I’ve reported it already. Stay sharp, folks!

Got a message saying it was Royal Mail asking for £2.99 to re-send a parcel. It said something like “Your package has £2.99 unpaid postage, pay now or it'll be sent back.” But I’ve never had them ask for money like that by text before, usually they just leave a card through the door. Pretty sure it was a dodgy scam attempt.
