Got a call from 07483 680089 claiming to be from Amazon, saying someone in California tried to create an account using my details. They said they’d send me a text with a verification code and wanted me to put the phone on speaker. When the code arrived, they asked for it straight away. I got suspicious and told them I’d rather ring Amazon myself, then they just cut the call. Never hand over any codes you get in a text unless you’re the one who asked for them!
