I just signed up for a Virgin money credit card and within about an hour or so, I got this message saying IMPORTANT PROPOSAL!: You have been chosen for a business proposal. Right, so I just got this message on my brand new Vodafone pay as you go SIM, and up till now, no one has my number, I can’t even recall it myself. So why on earth am I getting the same scam text as everyone else here? My tip? Always look up any weird phone number or email address you get in a message before you reply. I’m flagging this as suspicious because that email address will most likely hit you back with a bot reply loaded with nasty virus links and all that rubbish.
